hint
4. induction 5. Fermat's little theorem |

1. n+1=ab ;for some a,b in N that are less than n+1
Since n! is the product of all natural number from n down to 1, a and b which are less than n+1 must be somewhere in 1,2,...,n. Thus, the product ab=n+1 must divide n! |
|
The 1st a will be gone using the previous argument. For the remaining a, If it is a prime then before it reaches a*a=n+1 it will reach a*2, a*3,...a*(a-1). Since a*2, a*3,...,a*(a-1), which are divisible by a, are contain in n!, n+1l n!. If it is a composite, say a=lm, then l and m must be somewhere in a!, which is contained in n!. Hence, n+1l n!. (If l=m, then we have to continue the process until it reaches to the point that the divisor itself is a prime and we are done) |
|
The case prime $a=2$ is unusable since $4 \nmid 3!$
however, the problem only state for $n \ge 4$ ดังนั้นวิธีแบบ inductive แบบนี้ก็ไม่ควรใช้ครับ เพราะมีข้อยกเว้นอยู่กรณีหนึ่ง จริงๆกรณี composite มีวิธีที่ง่ายกว่านี้ครับ ่Consider $1 \le l < lm^2 <n+1$ |
