สังเกตว่าในโจทย์ มีนิพจน์ $\sqrt{4-9x^2}$ ดังนั้นถ้าเราวาดรูปสามเหลี่ยมมุมฉาก ก็จะได้ดังนี้
จากรูป จะเห็นว่า $\sin \theta = \frac{3x}{2} \Rightarrow x = \frac{2}{3}\sin \theta$ ... (1)
ดังนั้น $dx = \frac{2}{3}\cos \theta d \theta$ ...(2)
และ $\cos \theta = \frac{\sqrt{4-9x^2}}{2} \Rightarrow \sqrt{4-9x^2} = 2\cos \theta $ ...(3)
แทนค่า x, dx และ $\sqrt{4-9x^2}$ จากสมการ (1), (2), (3) ลงไปในโจทย์ ก็จะได้อินทิกรัลในตัวแปร $\theta$
