)
เพราะ fourier transform จะ work properly กับ Lebesgue integration ครับ
Define $ f(t) = \int_0^{\infty} e^{-x^2}\cos(xt) \,\, dx $
Differentiate under integral sign, then we have
$ f '(t) = -\int_0^{\infty} xe^{-x^2}\sin(xt) \,\, dx $
Integrate by parts $ (u= \sin(xt) \,\, dv= xe^{-x^2} dx) $ and we get
$ f '(t) = -\frac{t}{2}\int_0^{\infty} e^{-x^2}\cos(xt) \,\, dx =-\frac{t}{2}f(t) $
Observe that $ f(0)= \int_0^{\infty} e^{-x^2} \,\, dx =\frac{\sqrt{\pi}}{2} $
Now we have simple linear ODE order 1 with initial condition.
After solving, we get $ f(t)=\frac{\sqrt{\pi}}{2}e^{\frac{-t^2}{4}} $ And substitute $ t=1$
,we have got the solution !
NOTE : $ f(t) $ and $ f'(t) $ are both valid by M-test for uniform convergence of integral,that is, $$ \mid e^{-x^2}\cos(xt) \mid \leq e^{-x^2} \,\,\text{and} \int_0^{\infty} e^{-x^2} \,\, dx \,\,\text{converges} $$ $$ \mid xe^{-x^2}\sin(xt) \mid \leq xe^{-x^2} \,\, \text{and} \int_0^{\infty} xe^{-x^2} \,\, dx \,\, \text{converges}$$
