ถ้า ค.ร.น. หารด้วยจำนวนที่ 4 ไม่ลงตัว และ เมื่อนำจำนวนที่ 4 ไปจับคู่กับอีก 3 จำนวน เมื่อนำตัวมากไปหารด้วยตัวน้อย จะต้องน้อยกว่า 2 ทุกคู่ แสดงว่าจำนวนที่ 4 จะใช้ได้จริง

จากนั้นลองสุ่ม(เสก)จำนวนทั้งสาม จะได้ว่าคือ 12x, 15x, 20x ดังนั้นจำนวนที่ 4 คือ 13x ถ้าให้ x = 9 ก็จะหาคำตอบได้
